Tering Bay Golf Club

The coastal Tering Bay Golf & Country Club offers beautiful ocean views as it sits on 167 hectares of land overlooking a beautiful bay in the north of Batam. This Batam golf course is 5 minutes from Nongsapura ferry terminal or 30 minutes from Batam Center. Designed by Greg Norman, the 18-hole par-72 course at Tering Bay opened for play in 1995 and stretches to more than 6,400 meters. There are four tee box options, so it can be played by golfers of varying abilities. The land is generally hilly, and many holes are played on rainforest land. Each hole is unique and has different challenges.

The presence of water on many holes creates many opportunities for risk and reward. Carrying the water hazards will result in a good score. However, if you fail, then penalty strokes will add up quickly. As with any golf course designed by Greg Norman, there are many large bunkers, many of which are deep, with fine sand. A good approach shot will avoid the sand and create birdie opportunities.
