Bakso is Indonesia’s National Culinary

Bakso is a mixture of ground beef mixed with tapioca flour and shaped like small balls, usually using beef but many also use fish, chicken, shrimp, buffalo meat. Meatballs are served hot with clear sauce usually also added noodles and vermicelli and eggs then sprinkled with fried onions.
It turns out that meatballs are of Chinese-Indonesian origin, as the term ‘Bakso’ comes from the words Bak and So, which in Hokkien literally means ground meat. But what distinguishes this Chinese meatball is the meat, because the majority of the Indonesian population is Muslim, so the meat used is halal meat.
Meatballs in this day and age can be found everywhere, and usually the meatball sellers are Javanese because the famous places to be the center of meatballs are Solo and Malang. This culinary seller starts from traveling sellers, street vendors, to restaurants or luxury restaurants, because meatballs are almost favored by the people of the archipelago, so people do not hesitate to open a meatball business.
Because of the increasing demand for meatballs, meatball sellers in the market compete to attract buyers. There are variations of the meatball menu that arouse the appetite of buyers, such as vein meatballs, tennis ball meatballs or egg meatballs, flat meatballs, poor meatballs, karimunjawa meatballs, cheese meatballs and many more.
